Conflicts of Interest
A conflict of interest arises when your personal, professional, business, volunteer, or financial interests (or those of people close to you) could influence, or appear to influence, your decisions or actions in your role at the University of New England (UNE).
As a Council member, staff member, or student (elected/appointed to Council/Board/Committee), you are required to disclose any direct or indirect pecuniary interests, material personal interests, or other circumstances that may give rise to a real or perceived conflict of interest. This includes interests held by close associates, such as family companies, trusts, spouses, or dependent children.
You are required to complete this disclosure at least annually and whenever your circumstances change. Please provide as much detail as possible to assist in managing any actual or perceived conflicts.
