Duval College

Welcome to Duval College, UNE!

"My time at Duval has been amazing! I have made life long friends, and participated in various social, sporting, cultural and community activities - I've loved every minute of it! You're definitely guaranteed the time of your life here at Duval College." - Claire B, Kingscliff, Bachelor of Business

College isn’t just a place to live whilst you study at university. College is a lifestyle. It is a family, a community, a home away from home. Only once in a lifetime can you experience a life as enjoyable and unique as College life.

Never again will you have so many friends in one place, so much support all around you, and so many activities at your doorstep. You’ll try sports you’d never heard of, you’ll get up and dance and sing in front of an audience, you’ll represent your new home with pride! You’ll study together, you'll work hard together, you'll cheer for your mates and you’ll have strong College spirit.

The University of New England is a prize winning, 5 star student satisfaction rating, University. It is set in the beautiful New England area of Northern NSW. It provides a supportive study atmosphere in a rural setting with first class teaching and facilities.

One of UNE’s greatest, historical attributes is its residential college system. The colleges provide a safe, encouraging and accommodating environment in which students can make a new home, new friends, and a new life.

“Duval College isn't just accommodation; it is a welcoming community that facilitates freedom to be yourself and provides an opportunity to explore all of your interests. I have achieved much more than a University degree by choosing Duval College, the experiences I have had at Duval will stay with me for life.” – Megan R, Gilgandra, Bachelor of Law, Bachelor of Criminology.

Duval College offers students a protected and supportive, well balanced lifestyle, and encourages academic accomplishment in a tertiary setting.

Students hail from all over Australia, city, coast and country, as well as from overseas. In 2009, Duval housed students from Canada, Hong Kong, The USA, China, Zimbabwe and France. Duval embraces the many different and unique cultural backgrounds of our students.

“After leaving my family and friends for O'week, I never thought I would see the day when I actually didn't want to go home ” - Julia T, Medowie, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Law.
