ASCILITE TELAS 2025How does Early Entry work?
In the free online application you will choose up to three course preferences, which, combined with your school's recommendation, will determine the best offer of a university place, no ATAR required.
We guarantee you an offer. If not for one of your three preferences, then for an alternative course to ensure that you have the best chance of success. You will receive your offer directly from UNE in November.
Early Entry offers are made for full-time study, which means you will typically enrol in eight units over the three trimesters each year. You can change between studying on campus or online depending on your needs.
A UNE Direct Early Entry application does not exclude you from applying through UAC or to any other university, but offers a valuable guarantee of a place at the only Australian uni awarded five stars for Overall Experience 20 years in a row. (The Good Universities Guide, 2026).
Who can apply?
Early Entry is available for most degrees at UNE, for;
- current Year 12 students
- fulltime students preparing to sit the full NSW HSC in TAFE colleges in NSW and the ACT
- fulltime TAFE Tertiary Preparation Certificate students
Can I defer my offer?
For most courses you are offered you will also have the option to accept the offer and defer for up to two years. Please note: The Bachelor of Nursing cannot be deferred.
