Biography

Associate Professor Joy Hardy is an accomplished researcher in large, complex, team-based, national and international research projects. Her contributions include education sector analyses in both developed and developing countries, monitoring and evaluation, participatory engagements with stakeholders, and specialised qualitative analysis, including critical discourse analysis, sentiment analysis and thematic analysis. Her current research involves the Transformation of the National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP) and the Mapping Study of Teacher Education Institutions (TEIs) serving the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), Philippines. Joy has co-authored 19 government reports and more than 40 refereed journal articles and book chapters based on her research.

Joy has also contributed to international teacher education and education in other professions through the supervision of doctoral and masters research projects conducted in Australia, Argentina, Bhutan, China, Papua New Guinea and Saudi Arabia. She is also an internationally-recognised specialist in the design, development and accreditation of pre-service teacher education programs.
