Biography
Henri (She/Her) is a clinical psychologist and board-approved supervisor. She was already living in Armidale during the final years of her German undergraduate studies by distance, so it was a clear choice for Henri to complete her postgraduate training through UNE in Armidale. She enjoyed her placements with Juvenile Justine in Armidale, the Child and Family Team at Community Health in Tamworth and with the Adult Team at Community Mental Health in Lismore.
Since qualifying, Henri has worked in both private practice and government settings providing assessment and intervention services to individuals and families. She has continued to contribute to research at the Brain and Mind Centre (University of Sydney) and UNE. Henri started teaching into UNE’s postgraduate psychology programs in 2023, and has become very passionate about supporting neurodiversity in training provisional psychologists.

Research Interests
Henri has contributed to the UNE Phoenix project for post-bushfire community recovery, and the Brain and Mind Centre Youth Mental Health and Technology Team, and is currently looking into the use of Generative AI in supporting our students’ learning experience in postgraduate psychology programs.

Clinical Skills and Experience
Henri has worked extensively with young children and their families, adolescents, and young adults in private practice in NSW and Queensland; and with individuals and groups of all ages, backgrounds, social, sexual, gender and cultural identities in different government sectors in health, education and law enforcement. Henri is particularly interested in the youth mental health and early intervention space and training provisional psychologists who are just starting their career in psychology. Henri has trained in a range of psychological approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy.
