Dr Ingrid Wijeyewardene
Team Leader, Academic Skills - Digital Education

Biography
Ingrid is a lecturer in the Academic Skills Office, Teaching and Learning. She assists students at all levels of study with their academic literacy needs and teaches into the Foundation units offered by Teaching and Learning. Ingrid has taught English language, spoken communication and academic literacy in universities and colleges in Thailand and Australia, and has developed teaching programs in academic literacy for university students. Before joining the Academic Skills Office, Ingrid taught Thai language at the Australian National University in Canberra. She completed her PhD at UNE, investigating academic discourse in Thai political science texts.
