Biography
A Nurse by profession, Desiree has now been in academia for over 15 years. She has assumed several different clinical and academic roles during this time, such as a clinical nurse educator and academic team leader.
Desiree has worked with diverse range of learners in the Philippines, the Middle East and here in Australia.
She is interested in a variety of nursing topics, however Desiree's preferred subject areas are emergency and critical care nursing, and medical-surgical nursing.
Desiree is strongly invested in seeing her students succeed in their chosen careers. She believes that the best feeling an educator could have, is when a student comes back and thanks her for making a difference in their lives. Hence, it has become a lifelong responsibility to ensure that her students’ goal are met at the end of their course.
