Post-Doctoral Research Fellow (Poultry Science) - Faculty of Science, Agriculture, Business and Law
Biography
Dr Terence Sibanda is a Post-Doctoral research fellow within the School of Environmental and Rural Science at the University of New England. His research interest lies in generating data-driven solutions to complex animal movement, modelling of husbandry conditions and behaviour of free-range laying hens for their well-being and optimum egg productivity. Dr. Sibanda applies modern machine learning and statistical methods to learn about pattern and processes in poultry health with a particular focus on the uses of aviary system in free-range laying hens. In his current position, his research is broadening out and also focusing on poultry nutrition, egg production modelling, 3D synthetic data generation and disease early warning systems.
