Benefits:
The scholarship is valued at $40,000.00 per annum plus $10,000 in research support costs per annum to the student's research account to cover research related costs. Total package for up to three years and six months $50,000 per annum. Candidates must be enrolled in a PhD, full-time and on campus.

About the project:
The purpose of this scholarship is to support a full-time PhD student conducting research on profitable and sustainable agricultural practices that address the evolving challenges facing farming communities in the Northwest Slopes and Plains of NSW.
- Full-time, On -campus PhD student enrolled/enrolling in the School of Environmental and Rural Science.
- Research focus must demonstrate clear benefits to agricultural sustainability and productivity in the Northwest Slopes and Plains of NSW
The proposed project should focus on:
1. Profitable and sustainable whole-farm systems that help regional farmers adapt to changing climate conditions, including water efficiency, drought-resistant crops, and innovative grazing management systems.
The scholarship will also consider projects that include:
1. Agricultural extension and community engagement
2. Renewable energy integration
3. On-farm biodiversity and nature-positive solutions
Projects are encouraged to include on-ground research activities within the Northwest Slopes and Plains of NSW
How will the scholarship be paid?
The scholarship is valued at $40,000.00 per annum and will be paid in fortnightly instalments into the successful candidate's account.
The applicant must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident as defined by the Commonwealth
