About this scholarship

Number offered:

2

Description:

Patricia, an only child, was born in Sydney and lived in Bronte in the early years of her life.
She worked for a large Sydney legal office as a paralegal, specialising in converting company titled residential properties to strata titles in the eastern suburbs. After marrying a lawyer, she lived in Blakehurst, then moved up to the Sunshine Coast in 2019 to be close to her friend living there. She passed away at the age of 93.

Patricia was a very kind and generous person with a great sense of humor.  She had a wonderful circle of friends and would be very happy that her legacy will enable someone to become a medical doctor and help sick people get well again – preferably if they choose to practice in a rural area, where it is most needed. This scholarship was established by her friend in memory of her late friend Patricia Phillips.
