The Project
The University of New England (UNE) in partnership with New South Wales Rugby League is offering a Maters of Research scholarship with project funding, to explore the impact of loading on ACL health in youth athletes. This groundbreaking research will involve optimising youth athletic performance and injury prevention.
This project addresses growing market interest in youth sports, offering evidence-based strategies to support long-term athletic development, ensuring peak performance and safety, crucial for sports organisations, coaches, and parents.
The successful candidate will be based at the NSWRL Centre of Excellence (Homebush, Sydney), collaborating with experts and supporting innovative health initiatives.
We’re seeking a high-performing individual from an exercise and sports science background with a passion for athletic performance and experience working with youth.
You’ll be guided by an expert supervisory team: Associate Professor Robert Crowther, Dr. Bradley Morris, Dr. Samantha Birse and Mr Daniel Ferris.

The Scholarship
The Scholarship includes a $5,000 pa industry stipend provided by New South Wales Rugby League as well as $10,000 pa research allowance.
The successful candidate will be required to have a current divers licence and obtain or already have a valid working with children's check.
