This online course, will discuss Windows® 10 and take a look at some of the new features including the return of the Start Button®; Metro App; and Continuum, also know as Tablet Mode. We will also explore the new Action Centre and introduce you to Cortana®, Microsoft's Personal Digital Assistant.

The applications include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Although you can use the web-based version of these applications for free, a subscription is required for the desktop version. This series will concentrate on the Education version. We will go over how to get started, including installation, setting up your email in Outlook, using the Calendar for scheduling events, setting up contacts, and working in the Microsoft version of the cloud, called “OneDrive”. The main advantage of using web based applications is that you are always using the latest updated versions of the software. Because your documents are stored in the cloud, you can access them from any device, anywhere that has an internet connection. Cloud based storage also makes it easy to share and collaborate with others, wherever they may be. In this online training series, you'll learn how to use the commenting and track changes feature in Microsoft Word 2016. You'll learn about: Word 2013 - Tables & Graphics Training In this online training series, we will learn how to insert graphics and tables into a document in Word 2013. Topics covered in this training include how to format a table, insert rows and columns, and apply a table style. We will explore inserting graphics -- including pictures, clip art, SmartArt® and WordArt -- into a document, as well as how to copy, group, delete, and format graphics. Word Online is part of the family of online versions of Microsoft’s® Office software. Word Online, as opposed to working on a document on your desktop computer, has a couple advantages. Your document is stored in the cloud, such as OneDrive® or a SharePoint® drive that has been setup by a school, for example. This means you can access your document from anywhere, at anytime. Working with Word Online is also free. Word Online is a streamlined version of the fully blown desktop version of Word. We will cover how to create a new document, add text, format the text, insert pictures, tables, Internet links, headers, footers and more. You have control over styles, bullet lists, and paper layout. We will take a look at how to add a comment, reply to a comment, as well make use of the checkbox to finishing tasks. One of the great features of Word Online is that you can share your document, allowing you to collaborate, brainstorm, and keep changes by all contributors in one single document. We will show you how to share your document, or create a shareable link of your document, and manage permissions. We will also show how to download your document and work on a copy of your online document on your computer.
