Foundation Studies at UNE provides you and your staff a free pathway that builds skills, professional development habits, and confidence to progress into further learning and training. Participants receive supportive teaching, practical study strategies and personalised guidance, with a clear transition into eligible UNE undergraduate degrees.
Development Pathways
Development Pathways provides employers with a practical way to support staff who have potential for progression but may not yet have the study skills or confidence to undertake formal qualifications.
UNE’s fee-free Foundation Course helps employees build core capabilities such as critical thinking, written communication, digital learning skills and independent study habits. This can support improved workplace confidence and readiness for further professional development.
Participants can select from a wide range of electives, allowing learning to align with current responsibilities or future career pathways within your organisation. The program also creates a clear pathway into eligible UNE undergraduate study for employees who later wish to progress further.
TRACKS Indigenous Foundation Program
The fee-free TRACKS Indigenous Foundation Program supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees to build the knowledge, confidence and learning capability needed for further professional development and study.
The program provides culturally informed support while strengthening core academic and learning skills that underpin career progression. For employers, it offers a structured way to support Indigenous workforce development and create pathways into further qualifications where appropriate.
