The UNE Business School is pleased to offer UNE students an exciting opportunity to participate in an Agribusiness and Agricultural and Resource Economics International Study Program to Canada in Trimester 2 2026. Applications are open to undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in any degree at the University of New England with an interest in agribusiness. Features include professional visits to agribusinesses and organisations in different regions of Canada. The program will provide students with opportunities to gain increased awareness of agribusiness issues from an international perspective, build networks and expand career development and employment prospects.

Approximate Cost: AU $8,000.00 - $8,500.00 per person including international airfares (ex-Sydney), insurance, twin share accommodation, in country travel, and most meals and activities. (Please note that this price is indicative only.)

Interested students are invited to submit an expression of interest form by 17 October 2025 to Associate Professor Stuart Mounter.

Eligibility 

Students in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs (on-campus and online) are eligible. Undergraduate students enrol in OSSE300 and must have completed 48 credit points. Interested students, who have not completed 48 credit points, may submit an expression of interest, and eligibility will be assessed on a case by case basis. Postgraduate students enrol in OSSE500. Students will need to check with their Course Coordinator to ensure that the unit of study will count toward their degree. Classwork and assessment will be undertaken for unit credit.

Undergraduate students may be able to apply for OS-Help Assistance (provided by the Australian Government) to assist with the cost of the tour. Conditions apply.
