Trimester 1 – 2025 Application Dates

Applications for study in Trimester 1 of 2025 are open now. Trimester 1 coursework commences on Monday 24 February 2025.

The on-time closing date for domestic students applying to UNE for most courses was Friday 14 February 2025 and the final closing date (the last day to apply is) Tuesday 25 February 2025. Please also check further below for courses with specific early closing dates.

Why are there two different closing deadlines?

We recommend you submit your application before the on-time closing date because this gives you time to obtain your outcome, enrol and prepare to start your study journey when the Trimester commences. Whilst we encourage you to get your application in on-time, we understand that sometimes this might not be possible, so for most of our courses you have the option of submitting your completed application (including all supporting document/s) up until the first Tuesday of the official teaching period and UNE will aim to get you an outcome prior to the last day to enrol for that Trimester

Early Closing Dates

Courses with early closing dates for Trimester 1 of 2025 include the following:

• Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine:
  • UCAT applications closed 17 May 2024
  • UAC applications close 30 September 2024
• Bachelor of Nursing: applications for the course will be closed early without further notice if the enrolment quota is reached.
  Update 4/2/25: The enrolment quota was reached on 4 February 2025 and enrolments and applications were closed accordingly.
  If the enrolment quota had not been reached the final application deadlines were applicable:
  • UAC Central: Apply by 2 January 2025 and change preference by 16 January 2025 (last Offer Round on 22 January 2025).
  • QTAC: Apply by 23 January 2025 and change preference by 23 January 2025 (last Offer Round on 30 January 2025).
  • UNE Direct application: Apply, or change preference, by 7 February 2025 (extended from 31 January 2025).

Please note: Bachelor of Nursing applications have re-opened as there are still a limited number of places left in the course for 2024 (Trimester 1 of 2024).  All applicants should apply online direct to UNE. Applications can only remain open whilst there are still places. Applications are likely to close on short notice upon the quota being reached.
