Fieldwork Placements - A Guide For Students
A select group of students studying Social Work at UNE participated in a pilot project to develop a guide for international students on preparing for UNE fieldwork placements.
The handbook is designed to provide advice and support for students about to undergo placements and assist with other forms of interviews. The students (who are all international students) researched relevant literature and shared their own personal experience of the work placement process. The guide aims to identify the challenges, look for possible solutions to manage the, and create awareness for future students going on a work placement of the likely situations they could encounter as international students.
