Calling all young artists in Years 9–12 across Australia.

Your artwork deserves to be seen.

Take your work from your wall to the world. One young artist will have their artwork featured on the cover of UNE’s 2028 Course Guide, receive a $5,000 award and exhibit their work at the New England Regional Art Museum (NERAM), alongside the other finalists.

This year’s theme: Unconventional

Turn an unconventional eye on the familiar — the people, places and moments around you. Find what is bold or unexpected and express it in any 2D medium, including painting, drawing, illustration, graphic design or mixed media.

To enter, you’ll just need to upload a photo of your artwork, add a short bio and complete an AI declaration.

Entries open 3 September 2026. In the meantime, start creating something new or find a piece you’ve already made that deserves to be seen.
