Inter-college Cultural Events

UNE colleges each put their hat in the ring to take part in shared cultural events. These events are a great opportunity for students to let their artistic abilities shine.

The Sir Frank Kitto Competition

Public speakingThe Sir Frank Kitto Competition is an inter-college competition across such fields as public speaking, debating, poetry, short story writing, performance, theatre sports, photography, painting, craft and drawing.

Since 1988, an annual Arts and Crafts Exhibition has been held within the College in association with the Parents' Weekend.  It is organised by a student committee and is a chance for local and interested artists to offer their works for display and for student's to showcase their artistic ability.  An award is given for the best student art piece.

The Inter-court Trophy is a four sided contest between the Residential Courts and the Affiliates.  It is awarded to the team that performs with excellence in public speaking, debating competitions, gardening and at the annual Quiz Night held during Trimester 2.
