Geoffrey Atkinson Collection of Manuscript Letters
The Geoffrey Atkinson Collection includes manuscript letters from late 19th and early 20th century British and American writers to A T (later Sir Arthur) Quiller-Couch ("Q") (1863–1944) and William Archer (1856–1924), journalist and theatre critic. The letters include those from famous literary figures including Thomas Hardy, W B Yeats, George Moore, Henry James, Joseph Conrad, Rupert Brooke, and A E George Russell.
The collection also includes Geoffrey Atkinson’s work in transcripts, articles, working notes, professional and personal correspondence, printed explanations, photos and copies of reviews and lectures by Quiller-Couch.
Donated by Geoffrey Atkinson in 1995.
