Purchase requests
Library purchases are made annually for the next calendar year. We consider additional requests when these support the research, learning and teaching needs of the UNE community.
Priority is given to items published in the last 3 years, and those available electronically under the least restrictive access terms.
Electronic resources can usually be made available within 5–7 days. Physical items can take 6–10 weeks, or longer.
When submitting a Purchase Request, please include:
- whether the request is for teaching; and
- any relevant Unit Code.
Resource Sharing is usually the fastest way to meet your personal research needs. Individual articles and book chapters are typically delivered within 48 hours.
We buy all prescribed, recommended and referenced textbooks as listed in the official course handbook. Please make sure your unit information in the handbook is up to date. If your textbook is not available in the Library at the beginning of trimester, contact us. Our streaming video content is often licenced for a limited time and may need to be renewed each year. If you are using these videos in your teaching, please let us know before the Trimester starts.
