Who can download EndNote 20 at UNE?
EndNote 20 is available to all UNE staff and enrolled students.
If you are a student doing your PhD, Masters, Honours, or you are an Academic or a research assistant, EndNote is an ideal program for referencing your work and keeping all your research together in one place.
While EndNote sounds like the end of all your referencing problems, it may not be, depending on your circumstances. You need to learn the EndNote program thoroughly, and this takes time, practice and patience. To see if EndNote will suit your needs, please speak to one of our librarians.
EndNote libraries will become corrupt if used within cloud based storage systems such as Cloud.UNE, Dropbox, Google Drive, and SharePoint and even network locations.
In addition, do not save your EndNote Library to any location on the computer being synced to cloud storage either (e.g. iCloud, OneDrive).
We do not recommend opening or using Endnote files from within these environments. Only open Endnote files saved to a hard disk. Use cloud services for storing compressed (.enlx) backups of your library only.
Please note that Clarivate’s EndNote Online deadline for registering an EndNote Online library for EndNote X9 & 20 has now passed.
Clients who registered with EndNote Online BEFORE the deadline can still share their library via EndNote Online.
Clients who did not register in time for EndNote Online are recommended to consider alternative methods listed in the ‘Direct sharing of libraries and groups’ page.
Want to learn how to use EndNote? The UNE Library runs two EndNote webinars: EndNote Basics & EndNote Advanced. The Library recommends clients who are new to EndNote attend the EndNote Basics webinar as a minimum.
