Article Processing Charge (APC) discounts
UNE authors have access to Article Processing Charges (APC) discounts with

A summary of the discounts is provided below. These charges are separate from Read and Publish Agreements.
Although UNE does not have a read & publish agreement with The Royal Society, their 'Subscribe to Open' model means that UNE authors may be eligible to publish Open Access at no cost in select Royal Society Journals. This may change yea-to-year. For 2026, UNE authors are able to publish at no cost in seven hybrid journals as shown on the CAUL Title List. Titles covered Elsevier's Core Hybrid journals and fully Open Access (Gold) journals which are excluded from the CAUL negotiated Elsevier Read and Publish Agreement. This includes Gold Open Access Cell Press and Gold Open Access The Lancet titles. Title eligibility can be checked using Elsevier's Journal Finder.
