Request from elsewhere
Do you need materials not held at the UNE Library for research or study purposes? Staff and students can request digital copies of book chapters and journal articles.
Digital copies will be sent to your UNE account, or can be downloaded from My Library Activity in Library Search.
Staff and eligible students* can also request physical books. If you are off-campus, we will send resources to you. Otherwise, we will email you when the book is ready to be collected from the Library.
Note: We are no longer requesting physical books from US partner libraries. You can still request digital copies of book chapters and journal articles.
Request from elsewhere
This service does not replace the purchase of prescribed textbooks.

Staff and students can submit 75 standard requests each year. Further requests are at cost. The Library will contact you before processing such a request. Copyright limits apply to digital book requests. You may request one chapter or 10% of the total number of pages. However, if the request is sourced online, other limits may apply. Electronic material from another library’s collections are subject to license terms. Copying limits may be set by the publisher, or in line with provisions in the Copyright Act 1968. Copyright limits may be waived if the publication is commercially unavailable. We will conduct commercial availability checks as required.
