Armidale Teachers' College

The Armidale Teacher’s College (ATC) was established in 1928 with C.B. Newling as the Principal. The ATC building was built at the C.B. Newling Campus in 1929 after the demolition of the Armidale Goal. The ATC became the Armidale College of Advanced Education in 1971.

This collection contains ATC archival records of enduring evidential and cultural value. These include:

  • handbooks and course descriptions
  • staff and student records
  • graduation lists
  • photographs of the building and the students
  • personal papers
  • corporate records required to be kept by legislation.
