Serious about studying history? Want a degree that will enable you to use history every day, in your employment or other work? The Bachelor of Historical Inquiry and Practice is for you.

This is a new, tailor-made degree unique to UNE aimed at developing professional skills in multiple fields of historical inquiry and practice. It combines all the most important periods and topics of historical study – Ancient, Medieval and Modern – while focusing on the uses of history in the real world.

By third year, you will have the opportunity to complete your own History Project in an area of specific interest to you, such as a scholarly article, historical fiction, multimedia project, or documentary.
