Key courses in focus
Nursing plays a key role in health services across the world, and registered nurses work in a wide variety of settings. The Bachelor of Nursing (Graduate Entry) equips graduates with the key knowledge and skills necessary for the practice of registered nursing. Graduates are eligible to seek Registered Nurse status with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a professional nurse in Australia. The Master of Business Administration (International) will provide you with the key skills needed to be an effective manager in international business. The core units will provide students with the broad base you need for success in understanding business in a globalised economy. Key units include accounting, finance, economics, ethics, international business, management and strategic planning which underpin contemporary business operations in public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. The Master of Data Science will provide students with the required knowledge and practical skills to analyse and manage data. They will learn how to deal with large and diverse data sets and apply a variety of technologies to extract meaning from them. This course will prepare students to solve complex and challenging problems in science, health, business, and beyond, through a combination of engaging coursework subjects and a comprehensive capstone project experience. The Master of Data Science has been granted Professional Level accreditation by the Australian Computer Society and, through the Seoul Accord, is recognised in other countries. The Master of Environmental Science and Management is a coursework and research-based program designed to equip environmental scientists with specialist or multi-disciplinary professional knowledge in conceptual, scientific and field and laboratory technical competencies related to environmental science and natural resources management. Information technology is a complex and dynamic field. To stay relevant, you must constantly update your skills and knowledge. UNE’s Master of Information Technology has a strong technical focus that allows you to refresh your skills and knowledge and future proof your career in this rapidly changing area. Organisations of all kinds and sizes, in Australia and internationally, are facing dramatic changes to their operating environments, technology and finances. They need professionals who are equipped with the expertise to help them make informed decisions about the best direction to take in this rapidly evolving world. UNE’s Master of Professional Accounting will advance your financial, analytical, research and communication skills, helping you become an indispensable asset in any workplace, and will qualify you for entry to the major professional accounting bodies. The Master of Science in Agriculture is a program of course work, research methodology and research designed to provide an introduction to research. The course work component is designed to provide advanced knowledge and to develop a range of skills, applicable to the candidate's background and area of interest. Areas of specialisations are: animal science; meat science and technology; wool science; genetics and animal breeding; agricultural and resource economics; agronomy and soil science. The Master of Scientific Studies is a course work plus research degree designed to provide specialised training in a specific field of study. The degree involves advanced level course work study and students must complete one of the following majors: Biochemistry; Biodiversity Science; Biomedical Science ; Chemistry; Genetics; Mathematics; Medicinal Chemistry; Quantitative Ecology or Zoology. Students also complete either a thesis embodying the results of a research project or two mini-research projects. The research is completed under the supervision of a member of academic staff in an area relevant to the Major being completed.

Accommodation Scholarships
International students commencing studies at UNE Armidale in Trimester 1 2023 may be eligible for an accommodation scholarship in one of UNE’s residential colleges.
