Student exchange experiences

What is the student exchange experience really like? Hear what our students have to say.

'My overseas exchange to Hiroshima, Japan has been a doorway to a wealth of opportunity. It is this experience I will forever cherish; a time and place in my life where all the stars seem to have aligned. I have been able to strengthen my passion for Japanese language and culture amongst new friends I have met and the challenges I face. I have really found myself here ... I feel lighter than air.'

'After a hectic week on a true American Spring Break in Panama City Beach, I boarded a flight to the Big Apple. I left the warmth that was Florida and landed in New York very over-whelmed and exhausted. The next few days were amazing, experiencing everything New York City had to offer. I visited Wall Street, Time Square, Rockefeller Center, The 9/11 Memorial Site (extremely moving) and even the local hot-spots the tourists didn't know about. I was on exchange for 12 months at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. My time abroad was the most prolific experience of my life. The friendships I have made, the places I have been to visit and the people I have many memories with will remain with me for the rest of my life. Exchange to the United States has helped shape my perspective on life and made me who I am today. I am ever thankful New England University allowed me to experience a new culture halfway around the world while completing my degree in Business and Economics.'
