Fiona Murray

Biography

I am a proud Wiradjuri woman and mother of two boys. I have worked as a Primary classroom teacher and an Indigenous Literacy and Numeracy programs facilitator.  I am currently employed as a Project Officer with the School of Law at the University of New England.

My role is Project Officer for ICCLAP (Indigenous Cultural Competency for Legal Academics Program).  I work with many teams across UNE leading an innovative project funded by the Australian Government. The project's goal is to enhance the learning and teaching outcomes for Aboriginal students studying Law.

As the Project Officer I provide operational support for the activities whilst establishing and maintaining effective working relationships across the School of Law and the external stakeholders.

My experience at UNE has been extremely positive, the interaction with other staff on various levels is comforting and rewarding and allows for reconciliation and recognition of UNE's Aboriginal staff and their contribution.
