Biography
Melanie is a statistician who is interested in both theoretical and applied problems in statistics. Of particular interest to her is expanding the field of flexible distributions defined through quantile functions. Whilst at UNE she has been collaborating with scientists across the university to apply modern statistical techniques in different fields, including ruminant greenhouse gas emissions and remote sensing.
Melanie is a passionate educator, always looking for ways to improve learning for students in statistics and mathematical computing, through the scholarship of teaching and learning.
