Biography

Simone’s academic and professional interests centre around writing and editing. She has taught across several writing units at UNE, including WRIT101 The Craft of Academic Writing, WRIT102 Storytelling and Genre Writing, and WRIT313 Editing Skills and Standards. She has also worked in professional writing and editing capacities in Australia and overseas. Simone’s recently completed doctoral thesis explores representations of dogs and human–dog relations in rural Australian memoirs.
