Simone’s academic and professional interests centre around writing and editing. She has taught across several writing units at UNE, including ENCO100 The Craft of Academic Writing, ENCO102 Storytelling and Genre Writing, and ENCO329 Publishing and Editing. She has also worked in writing and editing roles in Australia and overseas. Simone is currently writing a PhD thesis on representations of dogs and human–dog relationships in rural Australian memoirs. As an editor, she has worked on a wide range of documents, including fiction and nonfiction manuscripts, academic book chapters, government reports and web pages.
