Dr David Godden

Biography

Dr Godden has degrees from the University of New England (BAgEc, BA, MEc) and the University of London (PhD, London School of Economics and Political Science).  He worked for the NSW Department of Agriculture as a policy economist 1973-1990, was Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Agriculture at Sydney University 1990-2002, and managed an environmental economics policy unit in the NSW Government 2002-2011.  Dr Godden’s recent research interests include ecosystem services and modelling air pollution abatement.  Prior to that he undertook economics research into plant breeding R&D and especially intellectual property for plants, climate change and agriculture, native title, and recent history of the Australian agricultural and resource economics profession.
