Biography

Professor Dongxia Yang has a Ph.D from China University of Political Science and Law.She is the Director of the Research Centre of Agricultural Law of the Agricultural Management Institute, Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China; the Vice-chairman &Secretary General of CAAL (China Association of Agricultural Law); Expert of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Dongxia has been devoted to the research work of agricultural law for many years. She has presided over a number of national and provincial research projects, involving the security of agricultural industry, the development of seed industry, the quality of agricultural products, agricultural intellectual property protection and other aspects, and  won many awards. Dongxia was a member of the revision group of “The People's Republic of China Agriculture Seed law” and the drafting group of “Rural Financial Legislation", of the National People's Congress. Dongxia is deeply involved in the work of Chinese agricultural legislation. As an expert, she has participated in drafting and revising some regulations of Ministry of Agriculture, and provided professional legal advice on the aspects of the application of agricultural law. Dongxia has led the team to provide a strong support to the relevant departments of the agricultural sector performing their functions according to law, and established a Chinese agricultural law database. She have been rated as the outstanding worker, excellent teaching and research worker, receiving the "Outstanding Contribution Award" of Agricultural Management Institute of Ministry of Agriculture two times, along with other honorary titles. The team-Agricultural Law Centre of Ministry of Agriculture - is the think tank of the Ministry of Agriculture, and is the only one engaged in agricultural law research, consulting and training integrated service platform currently in China.
