Biography

Diana M. Bowman is an associate professor in the School for the Future of Innovation in Society and the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. Her research analyses and informs the development of smarter governance and regulation of innovation in order to simultaneously enhance creativity, improve public health, and stimulate deliberation of the ethical, legal, and societal dimensions of emerging technologies

Teaching Areas

Public Health Law; Law, Policy and Technology.

Research Interests

Diana's research interests include intellectual property rights (patents, in particular) and emerging technologies, which intersects with the work of Professor Mark Perry. Her work on emerging technologies and regulation also includes energy and water law topics (i.e., "fracking" and sustainability issues) which intersects with the work of Associate Professor Amanda Kennedy
