Spatial Analysis (GIS) of Complex, Linked Social-Ecological Systems and Landscape Futures

This postdoctoral fellowship included research areas in Spatial Analysis and Geographic Information Systems; Spatial statistics; and Digital mapping of social, economic and ecological functions. These include:

  • Further refinement of social-ecological survey and mapping techniques;
  • Development of more appropriate and robust spatial statistics;
  • Techniques for examining alternative futures scenarios of (identified) similar social-ecological landscapes; and
  • Examination of spatial policies for regional resource governance.
