NRM CiviMetrics

The NRM CiviMetrics program is developing statistical, spatial and computing techniques for application in other research and consultancies undertaken by the Institute. Most recently, the program supplied a technique for spatially modelling the size and orientation of what people regard as "their community". This modelling was used in the major study for the New South Wales Government "Eco-Civic Regionalisation for New South Wales". The program will continue to investigate innovative approaches and techniques that can be used to support effective resource management from the local community level to broad regional planning and administration.
