Evaluation of Producer Initiated R and D Projects - PIRD

Between 1993 and 2004, the Rural Development Centre, and then the Institute for Rural Futures, conducted annual evaluations of the Producer Initiated R and D programs of Meat and Livestock Australia and the Woolmark Company. These evaluations involved surveys of participating primary producers at the beginning and at the end of their projects some three years later. The findings provided program management with information which could be used to improve the programs so that they continued to meet the needs of primary producers.
