Increasing Educational Opportunities for Rural and Regional Older Australians

This partnership project with the Armidale Branch of the University of the Third Age (U3A) gave older people from smaller communities and those who are disadvantaged by geographical isolation or mobility difficulties the opportunity to participate in 'third age' learning activities. These people were able to participate in U3A discussion groups via tele-conferencing. The project also provided community-based computer education opportunities for older people in both Armidale and more distant communities.

Completed in 2000.
