Armidale Dumaresq Council Needs Assessment

The aim of the study was to identify community service needs for the Armidale Dumaresq Local Government Area. The study involved the analysis of a statistically representative survey of the community, so as to identify the broad community service needs.

In addition, the service needs that are specific to seven target groups were also identified. These target groups included: women, elderly persons (55 and over or 45 and over for indigenous persons), children (0-11 years old), youth (12-24 years old), people with disabilities, Aboriginal and TSI people, as well as people from culturally/linguistically diverse backgrounds. A further analysis covered other areas such as people living in remote locations and needs relevant to men within the community.
