Support Resources

Several different scholarships are available for students studying a postgraduate degree, funded variously by Government, the University, industry or bequests.

Information about the most common awards, such as the Australian Postgraduate Award (APA), which are available for domestic students and which are administered by Research Services, can be found on the Postgraduate Scholarships website.

This website also includes information on the scholarships available for international students including the Endeavour International Postgraduate Research Scholarships and other UNE funded international scholarships.

As a scholarship holder it is important to read the relevant scholarship guidelines at the start, including length of award, leave provisions and enrolment status. If you are receiving an industry scholarship or support there may be expectations to provide regular reports to industry partners.

PhD students are encouraged to travel overseas for conferences and/or research work. The Postgraduate Scholarships website also provides information on Short Term Attachment and Conference Scholarships. Your research group, School and Faculty may also offer travel and conference funding.
