Responsibilities

Postgraduate research is a three-way venture involving the candidate - you - your supervisor or supervisors, and the school overseeing the research. Getting an idea of the respective responsibilities of candidates, supervisors and schools will ensure that your expectations are neither too high nor too low. A PhD is an independent research project, but you are not on your own!

The following pages provide a summary of the various responsibilities of Schools, supervisors and candidates.
