Borrowing at other universities
University Libraries of Australia and New Zealand (ULANZ) is the borrowing scheme for students and staff in both countries. UNE staff and students can apply for in-person borrowing rights at any university in Australia or New Zealand (except the University of Auckland).
Staff and students from other ULANZ institutions wishing to borrow at UNE should consult the page on reciprocal borrowing at the University Library.
Please apply directly to the host library, which will require photo ID Card (UNE Card or driver's licence) and proof of your current enrolment or employment/affiliation with UNE.
If the library charges a fee for membership, please forward the original tax invoice receipt to the Loans Team, University Library, UNE NSW 2351, to claim a 50% subsidy (to a maximum of $25). The original receipt (with an ABN) is required to process your claim.
The Library's preference to make a refund by direct deposit to your bank account. Please provide banking details (BSB, Account No., Account Name and Bank Name) with the original receipt.
The following terms apply:
- Membership of other libraries is generally valid from the date of registration through to 28 February of the following year.
- Host libraries will not necessarily provide you with access to their electronic resources or the Web.
- You must observe any borrowing conditions set by the host library and pay any appropriate fees and charges. The University Library will seek to recover any outstanding fees and charges on behalf of host libraries.
