CommUNE - An Armidale Block Party:

Join us in Booloominbah Drive for a event for students, staff and members of the Armidale community. The event will feature live music from Sydney Band The Strides; theatre sports; science displays; a Welcome to Country by UNE Elder in Residence Uncle Colin Ahoy and Smoking Ceremony.

The Oorala Aboriginal Centre will be open with activities and alongside food food trucks, giant games, carnival rides.

The Oorala Welcome Breakfast

Enjoy a hot breakfast; Oorala’s hosts a Welcome Breakfast where you can collect a gown for the Commencement Ceremony. An all student photo is on the agenda for after the Ceremony.

  • meet up with fellow Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students
  • checkout the facilities and layout of Oorala
  • get to know our friendly staff; and
  • sign-up for support services, such as the Targeted Tutorial Assistance program

Lifesaver Day

Lifesaver Day is all about the things you can get involved with while you’re studying at UNE. Oorala will have a stall at this event . It will be held in the Ingrid Moses Courtyard and Lazenby Hall.  Guides will also be conducting regular campus tours on the day.

The TRACKS Orientation Program for those who have been accepted into the 2020 TRACKS program includes some of the general UNE orientation events yet has it own specialist agenda.
