Trimester 2 Online Orientation

Date: Mon Jun 6, 2022 - Jun 10, 2022

Location: Online

Your Orientation Program takes place in a myLearn unit named UNE101 (will be available mid-late May) and comes in two parts. From Monday 6 June through to Friday 10 June, we will be running a series of live information sessions in UNE101 covering details about student support and services, understanding how university works, navigating technology, and how to use our student learning portal, also covering topics including;

  • Monday 6 June - UNE Welcome Session and Enrolment Info
  • Tuesday 7 June - Guide to myLearn & Technology, Study Centres
  • Wednesday 8 June - Student Support
  • Thursday 9 June - Academic School Orientations and Foundation Course Support
  • Friday 10 June - Discipline and Professional Experience Orientations

There are also presentations from various departments including the Oorala Aboriginal Centre, UNE International, our Regional Study Centres and your First Year Advisors.

These sessions are a great way to put faces to names and to get comfortable with some of the UNE software that you’ll use for your academic classes. You will access these zoom sessions through your UNE101 unit, using the 'Your Live Orientation' tile. These sessions will also be recorded, and accessible after the date through the 'Your Live Orientation' tile as well.

The self-paced content and activities that make up the UNE101 unit, form part two of your Orientation experience. Work through each of the tiles available to you in your own time, and be sure to ask any questions you might have in the Forums tile and our student advisors will get back to you. Your self-paced content includes activities like completing the Academic Integrity Module, practicing an assignment submission, contributing to the forums and earning codes to receive your Study Ready Badge.

Trimester 2 Online Orientation is for ALL new students, both domestic and international, online or on campus.

If you are wanting to get started now...

  • The Academic Integrity Module is a compulsory requirement for all UNE students. It must be completed before you are able to submit any assignments.
  • If you are studying any Law School units, you will also need to complete the AIRLI module in addition to the Academic Integrity Module.
