COVID Safe Plan

The University must safeguard, to a reasonably practicable level, the health and safety of students, workers and other stakeholders on campus. This includes having measures in place to eliminate or manage the risks arising from COVID-19.

Safe Work Australia has introduced new regulations regarding COVID-19 which the University must comply with to manage COVID-19 risks.

The new Regulations outlined in the National COVID-19 safe workplace principles require organisations to manage the risks of COVID-19 in the workplace, with the key requirement stating that a business must have implemented a COVIDSafety Plan. This plan should detail the measures taken by the business to reduce and control the risks posed by COVID-19 in the workplace.

Staff can access the University’s COVIDSafe Plan here.

This plan is underpinned by the following general principles:

  • Practicing good hygiene
  • Ensuring social distancing and room occupancy limitation
  • Do not attend campus if you are unwell
  • Protect others and the most vulnerable
  • Aligning to the restrictions and guidelines of the NSW and Federal Government
