The Student Experience Survey (SES) is the only comprehensive survey of current higher education students in Australia with about 145,000 first and later year undergraduate students from Australian universities participating in the 2015 SES.

Survey results capture direct feedback on the quality of higher education in Australia and are intended to improve transparency in the sector and informed decision making by prospective students.

Results are displayed on the Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) website and can be accessed by clicking on

The website is managed by the Social Research Centre, a subsidiary of the Australian National University, and brings together survey data from all Australian universities about students’ experiences and graduate job outcomes.

As part of the 2016-17 Budget, the Government recently announced an additional $8.1 million to enhance the QILT website.
