Historic partnership to grow UNE’s international presence

bhutanThe University of New England is forging new and stronger international alliances as part of a strategic push to deliver its quality online education models and leading research expertise to expanding markets.

Tomorrow UNE will sign a new Memorandum of Understanding, the first of its kind, with the Ugyen Wangchuk Institute for Conservation and Environment, the Bhutanese government’s peak environmental research and training agency.

The MoU is the first between an Australian University and UWICE, aimed at further developing collaborative research, as well as training and Higher Degree Research opportunities for staff and students within Bhutanese environmental agencies.

Representatives of the Bhutanese government, UWICE and the University of New England, as well as a number of Bhutanese HDR students will be in attendance in Booloominbah, for the signing of the MoU, from 1pm-3pm on Thursday.
