In our next seminar, we will hear from Dr Kirsti Abbott who will be telling us all about the UNE discovery program. Did you know in June 2019 UNE Discovery will be three years old! In that time they have developed and operate a highly successful mobile program that takes hands on exploratory activities in STEAM to Kindergarten – Year 10 students in northern NSW. The activities showcase UNE strengths in research and education, and the program serves to inform many of the future programs that can be run from the Boilerhouse Discovery Space.

UNE Discovery is seeking interested academics to collaborate on research projects that align to, and inform, play-based learning from the early years through the lifelong learning journey. In this seminar, Kirsti will give an update on the Boilerhouse remediation and planning project, how the Voyager program is benefiting UNE academics, and detail upcoming opportunities to get involved in the Boilerhouse and Voyager programs.
