Regulation of Agvet Chemicals and Technology Conference
Date: Sun 16th Feb 2020 9:00am - 5:00pm
Recurs: Every day, until 20th Feb 2020
5-day international conference at UNE: 16–20 February 2020
The former agriculture minister, Mr Barnaby Joyce, stated during the 2016 election:
“A re-elected Coalition Government will establish a Centre of Agricultural Excellence at the University of New England (UNE), Armidale, by co-locating the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) with the University and its specialised agricultural research centres”.
The UNE Regulatory Science Centre of Excellence aims to broaden the understanding of regulatory science and policy. A key vehicle to achieve these aims is an annual, UNE hosted international conference on the Regulation of Agvet Chemicals and Technology (RACT 2020).
RACT 2020 will provide a forum where future technical and regulatory issues can be discussed, where improved evidence-based decision-making can be promoted and where regulatory agencies, industry, Government and research organisations can share ideas and pursue solutions to complex challenges.
