International students at UNE are being invited to take part in a 3 week work-integrated learning experience where they will engage with Government agencies, NGOs or private businesses as ‘business consultants’. Through taking part in this project, students will gain practical experience of what it’s like to work in Australia, and will understand more about the skills and attributes required to work in a globalized knowledge economy. They will be working in a small team of 5. This is the first time that international students at UNE have been offered such an exciting opportunity, and you can add value to their experiences.
How can you help?
If you have 3+ years of business experience, and would like to mentor students while they undertake their project, please let us have your Expression of Interest (EOI) by 25 May 2018. An orientation session will be held on Friday, 15 June, with the program running from Monday, 18 June to Friday, 6 July 2018. Students would need to be able to contact you during this time, and you will need to be available for part of the orientation program on 15 June.
In our experience, mentors get just as much out of a mentoring relationship as those being mentored. We hope you’ll be interested in taking part. More about the program
