Student Emergency Assistance Fund

Students

The current COVID-19 Pandemic has had an impact upon many of our students who now need to deal with issues related to their educational, employment and accommodation arrangements caused by the need for social distancing required by government health authorities. This can have a serious effect upon their studies, their health and mental wellbeing. The University of New England is providing a range of programs to assist our students through the current situation and we are asking for your help to support our students through this difficult time by making a donation to the Student Emergency Assistance Fund.

Your donation will support quick response grants for UNE students experiencing financial hardship impacting their ability to continue their academic studies (course program or research) at the University. Students can apply for these grants from the Students Emergency Assistance Fund to support them through unexpected or unforeseen financial hardships, including as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The fund does not have the capacity to support a recipient with ongoing costs, and grants will be provided on a  one-off basis with limits in terms of how much funding is available or can be provided to each applicant.

Further information about the grants is available at https://www.une.edu.au/scholarships/student-emergency-assistance-fund
